The Tineco Floor One S7 Pro is a self-propelled wet/dry vacuum that specializes in hardwood floor care. It wets its soft roller brush via a clean water tank in the back and, after scrubbing the floor, suctions the water back up, placing it in a dirty water tank in the front.

The S7 is capable of dealing with small debris as well. However, it does not come with any attachments as it is strictly a floor cleaner. The S7 does not produce steam or use hot water. Instead, this Tineco vacuum relies on a 450rpm motor to scrub stains and lap up spills.

What we like

It can handle any kind of wet mess

We challenged the S7 Pro with all kinds of messes.

Our first test was chocolate syrup. Normally, we’d expect the sticky syrup to get stuck on the brush head or for it to get smeared everywhere. But, the S7 Pro’s balanced pressure water flow system kept the roller clean and free from stickiness.

Next, we had the Tineco Floor One S7 clean up eggs—scrambled and whole. The S7 Pro cleaned up the yolks, whites, and shells. That’s quite a feat for most floor cleaners.

It’s easy to use

One major issue with mopping is that it’s just so involved. You’ve got to gather the mop, the bucket, mix the solution, actually mop, then wring and clean the thing. Everything about the S7 Pro is way easier.

If you’re unsure on how to use it, the LED screen on the top actually plays a step-by-step guide when you first turn the unit on, but it’s only a one time deal. There are speakers built into the handle, so it’s even voiced on what setting or suction mode you’re on.

This Tineco vacuum Pro has a clean water tank on the front and a dirty water tank on the back. You can fill the clean water tank at the sink and add in a cleaning solution if you want. This model comes with a free bottle that you can measure by the cap full.

After placing the clean water tank, you push the power button and it starts to move. The S7 is self-propelled, so it doesn’t take much arm strength to use.

By default, it’s set to automatic mode, which, as the name suggests, automatically adjusts the suction power. It uses a system called iLoop Smart Sensor to monitor how dirty the floor is. We’ve tested this system on Tineco’s vacuums before and it works pretty well.

The dual-sided enhanced edge cleaning means you get the same cleaning prowess from the edge of the cleaner as the middle. That translates to less readjusting, so you can clean a larger area faster.

When you’re done, you empty out the dirty tank. The opening is large enough that you can rinse or scrub it out as needed. The brush head itself is self-cleaning, and there’s a special program that rinses the roller out and then dries it. We tried it and found no hint of the egg or chocolate syrup we cleaned up.

It has a digital display screen and LED lights

We found the Tineco S7 Pro easy to use thanks to some great features. It has a large LED screen that displays large text and even speakers that read the menu options aloud and does so in multiple languages.

This Tineco vacuum is self-propelled so it’s very easy to push the unit around when it’s cleaning. There are also handles on the back and front that make it easier to carry around the house.

Finally, we like the fact that the S7 has powerful LED lights on the front. It makes it easier to see stains and spills on the floor.

What we don’t like

This Tineco vacuum is expensive

The Tineco Floor One S7 Pro is expensive. It’s similar in price to Dyson cordless vacuums. For most people, buying the S7 Pro is going to be a hit to their bank accounts. This model is one of the best we’ve ever tested, so we think there is value there, but we understand most people would balk at paying over $600 for a floor cleaner.

It’s loud

At full bore, the S7 Pro produces more than 77 dBA of sound. That’s as loud as a regular upright vacuum cleaner. If you’re looking to do some discreet floor care, this model will not do.

What consumers are saying

We tested the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro very soon after launch. This means that there were very few consumer reviews. Out of 60 total ratings, this product gets 4.3 stars out of 5 on Amazon. People seemed to really like the automatically adjusting suction and overall cleaning power.

However, many people also recognize that it’s very expensive and that the digital display, while sleek, did not give a visual indication that the fresh water tank was empty. We didn’t experience that issue because we liked to visually look at the tank to check water levels.

Should you buy the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro?

The Tineco Floor One S7 Pro is the perfect cross between a wet/dry vacuum and a mop. It can buff stains out of hardwood and clean up debris with equal zeal. Our testing showed the S7 Pro can handle everything from stuck-on syrup to egg shells off the kitchen floor.

During our cleaning tests, we found the S7 Pro easy to use and accessible to everyone. It’s self-propelled and has handles on the front and back so it’s easy to move. The LCD screen gives all the pertinent information in an easy-to-read font. The S7 Pro even has speakers that can give you spoken instructions.

Overall, we think the S7 Pro to be an excellent addition to your household cleaning arsenal.

However, if it’s just too expensive for your tastes, but you’re still looking for a motorized mop, we’d suggest checking out the more affordable Karcher FC3, which offers similar self-propelled floor cleaning, but with a less sleek UI.
