Luxome Sheets Review

I'm one of those people who adores sleep—my bed is my sanctuary and I always look forward to resting after a long day. I try to invest in sleep products to get the best sleep possible, but that can get pricey. That's why I was ecstatic when I got the chance to test Luxome's Luxury Sheet Set. These luxurious cooling sheets have a 400-thread count and are made of viscose from bamboo. They boast nearly 6,300 5-star reviews, so my expectations for these sheets were high.

As used who's used to sleeping on basic affordable sheets, I couldn't wait to give Luxome a whirl to see just how much of a difference I could feel. I tested the sheets for about two months and have been eager to share my thoughts—here's how they changed the way I sleep.

What is Luxome?

Luxome is a brand that offers luxury sleep products ranging from sheets to cooling weighted blankets to pillows and robes. Luxome focuses on self-care and aims to add a sense of warmth and calmness to its customers' home lives. All of its products prioritize luxury and top-tier quality without being unreasonably priced.

Luxome also made a pact to be as sustainable as possible—all of its blankets and sheets consist of fabrics derived from bamboo. Not only is this environmentally friendly, but it also makes Luxome's products softer and smoother than the usual cotton or silk most sheets use. Luxome specifically chose bamboo because it only requires 1/3 of the water to grow, it's self-regenerating and fast-growing, it doesn't require fertilizers or pesticides, and it's hypoallergenic and soft on the skin. All of Luxome's products are also Oeko-Tex certified, meaning they're safe from harmful substances and safe for human use. Luxome also uses reusable packaging and invests in glass beads instead of plastic.

How I tested Luxome

I replaced my old sheets with Luxome's Luxury Sheet Set in a Queen size, which includes a pillowcase set, and I slept on them for about two months. I washed them weekly and they held up perfectly with each wash.

What I liked about the Luxome Luxury Sheet Set

Its cooling capabilities were remarkable

I get cold quite easily, but when it comes time to go to bed, I tend to overheat. I also suffer from unbearable night sweats, even during the winter months and in the summer when the AC is on full blast. I was lucky to get the chance to test Luxome's cooling sheets at the start of the months-long extreme heat and humidity we experience here in Atlanta, and I couldn't be more grateful. As soon as I took the sheets out of the packaging, I could feel the coolness on my hands. Once I put the sheets on my bed and lay down on them for the first time, I was in awe at how cool they were. It was a relief and I couldn't help but move around on them to get a better feel.

The sheets were so cool that some nights I'd almost wince when initially getting into bed, but I loved that feeling. During the testing period, I'd wake up with a much lower body temperature than usual and no night sweats. This was a huge deal for me—the sweating can get so bad that I wake up to dampened sheets and a sweaty back in the middle of the night. It was great to also have the cooling pillowcases. They helped to keep my face at a perfect temperature throughout the night.

The sheets are so soft

It's hard to deny the luxurious feeling the Luxome sheets provide. They're extremely soft and only felt softer after each wash. I definitely noticed a huge difference between the generic cotton and the viscose Luxome uses. The sheets are incredibly smooth and made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. I'm also someone who struggles with insomnia, and I noticed I slept better throughout the night with minimal disturbances while sleeping on Luxome's sheets.

The sheets are super high-quality

When I first opened the sheets, I was amazed at the weight of them. They're significantly heavier than the cotton sheets I was previously using and they felt so expensive. They're extremely durable and held up perfectly in the wash. The stitching is done so well and it never unraveled. at any point. They weren't even affected by my bunny's fervent scratching with her sharp claws.

Stains lifted up effortlessly

During testing, I stained the sheets twice. I woke up one morning to find that period blood had leaked onto the sheets and left a small blood stain on the sheets. Another morning, my boyfriend and I were awakened by a large pool of my bunny's urine on my bed, which leaked onto the sheets and down onto my mattress. Of course, I was a bit irritated and I was a bit worried the stains wouldn't wash away. My anxieties were eased once I pulled them out of the wash—both the blood and the pee were completely gone. I thought the blood would at least have left a mark behind, but you couldn't even tell it was ever there. This made me love the sheets even more than I already did.

What I didn't like about the Luxome Luxury Sheet Set

The sheets are huge

When I first put the sheets on my bed, I was questioning if I had accidentally asked for a bigger size. The sheets were, in fact, queen-sized, but they appeared much larger. Even after meticulously tucking them underneath my mattress, corners would sometimes still escape and nearly touch the floor. This made my bed-making process a bit annoying and more time-consuming every morning. My mattress is fairly thick at 12 inches and the sheets have deep, 17-inch pockets. It would be helpful if Luxome offered the sheets in varying sizes based on the thickness of the mattress.

Would I recommend the Luxome Luxury Sheet Set?

Yes, particularly for anyone looking to cool down at night.

I don't think there are many people out there who wouldn't love these sheets. They're the softest, most luxurious sheets and pillowcases I've ever slept on. Every night I felt like I was staying in a lavish hotel with the finest bedding. They're especially useful for people, like me, who have to put up with intolerable night sweats and constant overheating during sleep. Right before I tested out Luxome's sheets, I noticed that my night sweats were beginning to worsen after beginning a new medication, and I was in desperate need of some relief. I'm so thankful that I was able to get a taste of what these sheets have to offer. If you can fork out the extra dollars, it's definitely worth the splurge.
