Dyson's newly announced Submarine wet roller head seamlessly combines a vacuum and mop designed to clean up spills and stains on bare floors and pick up minor debris.
While the Dyson Submarine wet roller is not available yet, we were privy to spend hands-on time with it during the Dyson press event in New York on May 22. The new roller head boasts many great floor-cleaning qualities—here's what we know.
The new Dyson Submarine features a unique design that contains two water tanks—one for clean water and one for dirty water. Since both tanks live inside the roller head, you can avoid looking at the unsightly dirty water created by your filthy floors until time to empty it.
Dyson's first wet vacuum roller head is compatible with the upcoming V12 and V15 Submarine cordless vacuums.
The clean water tank saturates the soft roller head with an eight-point hydration system and uses a pressurized chamber, ensuring even water distribution. The tank can hold up to 300ml of water—enough to clean a 1,200-square-foot room.
The removable microfiber roller is washable, so you can easily clean it after each use.
The roller head keeps a low profile, helping to clean up spills, stains, and small particles from tight spaces.
The new roller head is compatible with the upcoming V12 and V15 Submarine cordless vacuums. The wet roller head will not be compatible with older V12 or V15 models.
Availability and pricing have not yet been announced. We can't wait to test the new wet roller in our Reviewed Vacuum labs. Look for more details and our full review of the Dyson Submarine wet roller head later this year.
